Nutrition Counseling Will Help You…

Balance Blood Sugars

Does the word “diabetes” make you feel guilty, like you’ve done something wrong? Afraid to check your blood sugar because you’re scared to see the result? Wondering if you’ll ever get a day when you don’t have the dark cloud of diabetes hanging over your head? I can’t make diabetes go away, but I can teach you everything I know about how to keep your blood sugars in balance—so you can let go of feeling guilty about having diabetes, and start feeling confident about your ability to handle this.

Find a Comfortable Weight

Most people with type 2 diabetes have been told that they need to lose weight to get their blood sugars under better control. The truth is, by the time you’re diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, you’ve most likely lost half of your body’s ability to make its own insulin. Losing weight might or might not improve your blood sugar, and yo-yo dieting is worse for your health than maintaining a steady weight. Your weight is not your worth—find a comfortable body weight and love the skin you’re in.

Reinvent Your
Relationship with Food

Do you feel like food is the enemy? You have to eat, but it seems like everything you put in your mouth sends your blood sugar through the roof. The foods you used to love are off-limits, and you don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen cooking new foods you can’t pronounce, much less eating them. Learn how to prepare and eat nourishing food that won’t send your blood sugar skyward.

You really want to get a better handle on your type 2 diabetes, but there’s so much going on in your life. You’re taking care of everyone else, and your needs are on the back burner. You’ve got a job, a family, and people who are depending on you to get things done. The last thing you have time for is a ton of visits to a diabetes education class where you just might get some generic handouts that don’t really do you any good. What you really need is a way to figure out how to handle your diabetes while you’re handling everything else, without taking time off for appointments and traveling back and forth to a medical office.

Taking care of everyone except you is costing your health. It’s time for you to take care of you. Personalized nutrition counseling gives you bite-sized chunks of information and helps you change your health bit by bit. You’ll get access to a diabetes expert who cares about helping you thrive. It’s time for you to stop feeling confused and start feeling confident when it comes to your diabetes.
